Tinedo is its people.

Those who take care of it.

Tinedo is its people.

Those who take care of it.

Everything takes time and in 175 years of tending to a piece of land you learn all there is to know about it.

Our great-great-grandfather, Dionisio Angulo, bought the Tinedo Estate in 1846 and finished covering it with vines. Around 1895, his daughter Esperanza built the farmhouse and winery with very deep rammed earth walls, which time has shown that it was the perfect construction for winemaking and aging. Despite the prevailing trends, our grandfather, Manuel, and father, Máximo, showed immense stubbornness in maintaining a way of working based on the concept of single-estate wine.

Thanks to all of them, the estate, the winery, and the single-estate wine are now the essence of our family.

For a long time, Tinedo has been more than just one family’s estate and winery. The estate and winery belong to all those who are here. That’s how our commitment has been built.

Chato was the Tinedo foreman after our great-grandmother built the winery. Matías is now the foreman and winemaker at Tinedo. He worked here when he was 16 years old, with his father and uncle, who was the foreman at the time. Chato was Matías’ grandfather. Three generations.

Chivolis started working with our father over 30 years ago. He and his brother, José, are still making Tinedo today.

Carlos is the son of Gasolinas, who appears in the photo taken in the 70s next to our father in the old grape unloading area.

Silvia Burruezo, Oenologist of Finca Tinedo

Oenologist Silvia Burruezo feels the wine from the vineyard and approaches winemaking as an interpreter rather than a creator, putting all her sensitivity and knowledge into achieving the aptest expression of the vines and the terroir of the Tinedo Estate.

Esperanza, Amparo, and Manuel have grown up at the Tinedo Estate and today we’re as keen as ever to maintain its reputation as a reference in contemporary winemaking in La Mancha and as a model of a social, organic, and sustainable family-owned winery.

We like working together in a stable, committed way, and thus helping to keep the rural areas alive.

Come and see us,

you’ll be very welcome.

Tinedo is a warm place, whatever the weather. A place to share, spend time, party, relax, work in a different way in different surroundings, a place to fall in love.
